I think half the 7th-years have been walking around this week in a state of euphoria. Too bad Professor Slughorn had to remind us that we've still got his essay due Friday and of course, all our other end-of-term work.
Ordinarily, I'd agree with you that part of Capper's problem is blood. But in his case, I do think it's more about single-mindedness. Maybe it's something about which halfbloods are fostered and which aren't, I'm not sure. It just seems to me (and this is purely anecdotal, of course) that the ones who don't live with their families have better incentive to do well in school. Perhaps it's their foster families' expectations or just wanting to get out on their own. (That might just be me assigning motive, though!)
We'll find something, don't worry. Of course I'd love it if you found something before I'm finished here but really, I can stand being back at home for a while if necessary. And besides, if it gets too horrible I can stay with Fae, or Karo, for a little while. (Though I think Karo and Ptolemy plan something similar to us as soon as she's finished. She got an owl from him that he's been 'softening up' his father, which I think means he plans to propose again. Don't worry: No pressure here! I'm quite pleased with our plans as they are.)
Except. I hope you don't expect amazing cooking once we do move in together. You ought to know better by now--the kitchen is not my natural habitat, ha! Perhaps it's just as well Mr Malfoy lets you order in, if you're developing a really rich palate.
What's been happening to make you work so late? Or can you not say?
