Well, the interview went all right, I guess. I dunno. Mr Powell's not quite as affable as Professor Siz's aunt was.
But he didn't chuck me out or anything. And the work seems interesting. (Well, truthfully, so does Mrs Cumberhatch's--Gera's, I guess, she said I could call her that--but her client base is not quite as interesting as Mr Powell's, you know?)
I guess I'll just see which of them offers me something first. If either of them do. (And yes, I've sent them both their thank-you notes by owl.)
But. Did you get the sample lease agreement for the place on Thornhill Road? (Or is it Barnsbury by then, I couldn't hear what the agent said.) I thought that one was the best of what we saw Saturday. Don't you?

Yes, I received the sample lease agreement. I showed it to Bill, who advised me to scratch out one of the clauses--he says that landlords always try to put it in, and when knowledgeable tenants cross it out, generally they don't fuss about it. But if they do, it's better to walk away.
We still have to decide if we want to take it. I know the rent's a bit higher than we wanted to spend. But I'm not sure we'd have a better chance to get into that neighbourhood.

It'd mean we'd have to put off getting a mudblood a little while longer than we planned.
There's that gorgeous bay window, though. In the sitting room. And the extra storage cupboard off the pantry.
Do you think we should take it? How much more was it than you were expecting?

We can keep looking, I guess.
